Stonewall Pride Parade

Fort Lauderdale, Florida gay pride parade. Fort Lauderdale has two gay pride organizations and two gay pride celebrations each year. There is, however, only one parade a year and this is it.

1-Mile Ocean Swim

Each year various colleges and universities from the U.S. and Canada compete in a swimming and diving competition starting on New Year's Day in Fort Lauderdale. The competition kicks off with a 1-Mile Ocean Swim.

Underwear Auction

Held at Georgie's Alibi in November 2006 as a fundraiser for Broward House in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

2000 Stonewall Gay Pride Parade

6/25/00 - When the long-established gay pride organization decided to move the annual PrideFest to March and no longer have a gay pride parade, a group of a bout a dozen people decided to form their own organization and have their own June festivities. That new organization became known as Pride of Greater Fort Lauderdale. This was the first, Stonewall Gay Pride Parade.
